Wah, so tired. Anyway, I must break out of my depression and look forward. No point mulling over the impossible right? It's not like I can take higher chinese, or hope that english will moderate further. Now, the only goal left is the O Levels. And I have to start like tomorrow, or rather today later on in the afternoon. First, I have to finish my homework. Then, start revising again. This is the last week of school already, so I better make use of it. No shitting, copying or whatever le. 4 years of education has snowballed to this 1 event. My future depends on this 1 event. Taking a deep breath, I have to move on. After all, setbacks are inevitable in life. If we don't move on, we'll always be stuck and never move forward. Instead, I have to just aim for that 1 and only goal right now, which is to score 6 points for the O Levels. Forget the past, just look into the future. Thus, all those who did not perform to their expectations, just continue to work hard for the O Levels. Otherwise, the time lost mulling over it is just wasted. I guess I'm just not used to people thrashing me. I mean, looking around me are 2 pointers, 3 pointers, 4 pointers whom I have like won them most of the time. Wait a minute, why am I talking about it. In conclusion, fuck the past aside, it was just a fall or blunder . Just concentrate on getting 6 points for the O Levels. That's it, Garrett, you can do it.

Hmm, today in the morning in the car, my father told me that my grandfather on my mother's side passed away. Guess I will be busy the next few days. Looks like next year's chinese new year is double wham. Grandparents on both my father and mother's side have passed away this year. Life is supposed to be everything. So death is a subset of life. But how can we experience death when we live? Lol I know it's lame. Anyway, my grandfather was not really close to me, he is quite quiet but caring and understanding. I hope wherever he is, he would be happy.

I don't know why our school suddenly become so weird. They ask us to study hard, saying that the prelims are hard and that it is very important if we want to go JC. Fine. We study hard. Then they screw us up with what not stupid making scheme for english. No one got a bloody A1 for goodness sake. 4 A2s maybe? Bloody hell freaking shit. "Oh we want to match the O Level standard. If we moderate, it won't be a true reflection of your standard", cut the crap please. And what's with higher chinese being able to deduct 2 marks. For God's sake I just have to get a stupid 50% to -2 marks. Something whch allows me to go into any JC. And on top of that, you only need 45% in order to not take chinese in JC. You save 4 hours a week, WOW. This system is just seriously so screwed up IMHO. Even L1R5 is so inaccurate. So a person with 95 95 95 95 95 74 ( L1R5 = 7) is lousier than someone who gets 76 76 76 76 76 66 and a 50 in higher chinese ( L1R5 = 6), WOW. I feel so cheated now, I felt as if my efforts were wasted, or something like that. It's like work so hard but still lose to people who take higher chinese, they can get a 2/3 while I'm stuck with a 5. Not 4. And with the standards rising like every year, JCs are going to raise their cut-off points. VJC become 4? or 3? And RJC becomes 0. With the introduction of higher english, in which a C6 is necessary to -2 more marks. Freak it damit, why didn't I did better for chinese in sec 2? I'm sure if I memorise the whole freaking chinese dictionary I can get C6.



Ok, whatever I've said is obviously wrong and untrue and whatever not. Of course, I'm angry at the bloody fact of HCL. Fine, my chinese sucks. But is it that freaking hard to get a bloody C6? Gosh! If you don't like it just press the X at the top right hand corner now.

Of course I'm not talking about anyone here but i'm just angry with my own results and blaming my poor shitty chinese and english which virtually ruined my whole future. Thank You.

Woah, this is like the latest I have ever slept. On school days that is haha. Anyway, I realised that i'm just rotting away now. I don't even have the mood to do the papers that the teachers are giving. Well, from THIS SUNDAY ONWARDS, I shall start revising for the O Levels already. No more shit already. I'm already behind on papers and I have to start this Sunday. So from this Sunday onwards, I will begin planning a timetable like before on what to study. Let's see, I have

And these are my weaknesses, which I am going to concentrate on for O Levels in order of priority.

3. Grammar, tenses
4. Physics ( Electromagnetism )
5. Geography ( Tourism, Economic Development, Environment )
6. Chinese ( Composition)

And strategies to overcome these weaknesses, in correspondingness

1. Read more of those model essays to generate ideas
2. Read more of those model essays to generate ideas
3. Practice that stupid english book
4. Practice the red and blue physics book and revise class tests
5. Read all the notes that Ms.Foo and Mr.Goy gave
6. Learn more cheem words, phrases, expressions, cheng yu

Hmmm, apparently, some teacher lied to another teacher about some matter. Anyway, I was so relieved when my SEQ for SS got 21/25. A lot of my classmates should get 20-21. But because they never write 3 words " suffer great losses", they got like 17-18. So stupid la, I mean who cares about those stupid words lor. Hmm and see la, set so called ' hard ' paper, and then now Chemistry everyone +5 marks, physics everyone +10 marks, english everyone +6-9 marks. Argh lor, for english I only need 4 more marks to A2, but 10 for A1. Even if they give the maximum 9, I woul get 74.9 for english, hope they round up haha. Hmm so now it's either 6-7 points for me le, which should be safe enough to go VJC. However, what some of my friends told and advised me made some sense. Hmm... I've got a little bit of decision making to make.

Chinese : 76/100

OMG Today was like a normal day until chinese lesson. I got an A1. WDF???!!! This is like the first time I had ever scored above 70 since secondary 1 la. Whoa it's like wdf lor. All of my friends were like so surprised la. Even my mother and sister also so shocked. Too bad it was just a fluke, because I copy and paste the whole comprehension and I got 34/40 even though I didn't understand the passage. Haha must be exam smart what right?

E.Maths: 89/100

Ok. I lost 3 marks because I go extra put + and - for square root, when the answer should be just positive, haiz.



Now I feel cheated. Those higher chinese ppl can -2 more marks la. Some more they can use it in lieu of english, the highest for english is only like 71 I think. Where as there were so many A2 and B3 for higher chinese. Grrr. But never mind, 5 pts should be enough to go to the JC I want.

A.Maths: 90/100

Yay, I thought I would get about 80+ only because I thought Mr.Lim would be marking. But it turned out that someone else marked it so ended up I got 90 haha. Not bad.

Biology: 82/100

Not bad also, but I didn't get top!! ZZ Ended up some PRC got it. Never mind, still good.

Geography: 38/50

Again, not bad also, but I still didn't get top!! Top was 39 again by another PRC. Still, I think it's quite ok, though this means my SS must do better.

English: 68/100

Ok, kind of expected la xian. Just hope that it moderates to A2 then my L1R5 can be 7.

E.maths and Combined humanities can't be finalised yet because I didn't receive the whole parts yet, but I THINK and I HOPE that I get A1 for both, then my L1R5 can get 8. With moderation then become 7 lor.

Overall thoughts on how to improve:

- Read questions properly
- Use brute force method by writing in excess
- For compo check GSP ( actually I did check but my grammar just sucks totally )

Yay I quite surprised at my results. I think it's mostly luck because my goals were actually what I thought I would really get. Since I exceeded most of them, it's quite lucky lor, haha.

ZZ WDF! This happens almost everytime. I knew it was a hard paper, but didn't thought that I would get an A2 AGAIN!! Like I said this confirms the Physics Curse. That I will be cursed to have A2 forever in my physics, haiz.

So I guess today was kind of ok la, tmr hope I don't get a heart attack can le. Now just hope that physics will moderate by 3-4 marks even though I think there would be no moderation since there were many Bs.

Today was another normal day again, haiz. But my father bought the VCD 300, about the spartan war. Though it's M 18, the violence part was so lame. It's just some guy cutting of another person's head and the head fly in the sky then drop down, and it was so so so fake la, as in you can tell it's computer make one. The most should be NC 16 only lor. Then later went to cut hair. Hmm, tomorrow get prelim results le. I only hope I can make it to VJC which means L1R5 = 7-8. If not nvm lo, failure is part and parcel of life.

Well, today's the last day of prelims!!! WOOT!!!!! Today after the last paper we quickly zhao to avoid 'small letter c' because we don't want him to come lan with us hahaha. And he came 25 mins for today's chem paper, haiz. So altogether 10 ppl + extra ee ming follow us to the IRC shop and city hall. Xu Yu, Yu Chen, Bo Han, Zhou Jing, some 4A Prc, me, Jeremy Lim, 2 of his friends Eugene and something ( oops forgot ur name ), Christian. So it was a China VS Singapore friendly match haha. Then Ee Ming zhao le for tuition then we ate burger king, got dressed but then the lan shop said uniform cannot so we changed. Then 3 ppl wore school pants and home shirt but still cannot. So we wait until 1:30 to go into the other LAN shop. Haha we played all the way to about 5:00. 3 matches for dota. AP, APEM, AR. And Singapore team won 2-1 hahahahaha. But it was a friendly match la. And throughout the game hor, got so many ppl around us shouting 'FU** THEM', 'FU** U LA KS ME' and many more colourful words haha so funny. Then after that I go home and here I am haha.

But of coz now for me it's also quite relax la, just MCQs only. Tmr I can finally play dota, after like 4 months la. Probably playing from 12-5+. Oh ya, I forgot to mention, what on the Sec 4s leaver ceremony on 5 october then get some results and it is the highlight. Wdf? Anyway I think we getting the results b4 that, but the results on leavers ceremony is the finlalised one, like add prelim 1 and after moderation, just in case some ppl don't know. Then they say can invite the parents. Hmmm, should I? It's like later no parents come la. I mean, this sort of thing is a class bonding thingy, parents come like a bit diaoz la, unless all come. Anyway, I don't think our school is big enough to have the parents to come too haha if u know what i mean. Hmm, is our shaw hall even big enough? Ok, I can't believe I didn't even spend 1 hour during friday, saturday and sunday studying la. I was so preocuppied with playing and besides I had no mood haha. Anyway, today A.Maths was quite okay, but I wasted 15 minutes doing the OR question, then realise I can't do the second part. So I cancelled the whole thing off la, then do EITHER, argh wasted 15 minutes whch is like 1/8 of the whole time. End up no time to check. At least I was happy at what I did, maybe because I nv discuss the ans with the others, but nvm. Then physics, like I said I never study at all during the weekend, so the last time I touched physics was 1 week ago. Luckily I never study for it, if not I would have wasted my time la. The paper so hard, maybe only can get 29-32. If I had studied, the most only 31-33, which would still make my overal a B, no change. So haha, saved time studying the stupid physics.

So, today's A.Maths was quite easy, just that I made a lot a lot of careless mistakes, because it was very rushed, like only 15 minutes to check!! I think got about 10 marks careless liao omg la. Still, I think can get A1, it's my best subject so it better get an A1. Then biology, hmmm. Should be about low A1 to A2 ba. I was so reliefed, at least got hope for A1 for a science subject. At first I wanted not to study so much for MCQ, but now, all the more I must study for MCQ. ARGH!! And I also have to study for A.maths, which is something I rarely do haha because I scared I made too many careless mistakes today le. Oh well, at least now I can relax a bit liao but still must maintain the momentum. Hmm, maybe I will go band tomorrow lor, as in alumni since it sounds important. Anyway, also no mood to study lor, should put the main papers last if not who got mood to study la.

Argh, I wasted 3 hours today like using the com lor, shit la. I am very demoralised le because I think the most I can get is like 3-4 A1s, double maths, humans and probably bio or chem. ARGH!!! Yay!!!! OMG ITS LIKE YAY!!!!!!!!!!! MY COM IS LIKE FINALLY OK AFTER 5 LONG AGONISING DAYS!!! Actually, come to think of it 5 days isn't very long. Haiz, i'm too dependent on com liao. So far, prelims has been okay, in fact quite good. E.Maths was easy except for about 5 marks careless, then Geography dunno y Ms Foo say so hard, make me waste 3 days to study for nothing, only need 1 day lor. Then physics was the killer. I was happy after doing the first 8 questions, then the essay part, 1 whole question dunno how to do. 10 marks fly away whee. Anyway, I think the best is I get B4 or B3 for physics only. At least no one found the paper easy so I guess it's okay. Then for SS hor, remember I predicted theme 3,4,6? It came out theme 3,4,5 instead. Oh well, at least I could answer theme 3. SBQ was easy lor, all the purpose so easy to detect one. So now I have to bang on chemistry and biology, make sure get A1. Because I know for sure my physics can't get A1 even though there will be severe moderation haha. Tomorrow got nothing so now slacking, though I supposed to study bio now, but i'm so excited that the com is now working yay!!!!

8 Days to the end of mid-prelims.

Ahh, I forgot to update the counter, so here it is. Today I went for physics lessons in the morning, walked all the way to school because my father went to malaysia for some meeting, dunno y choose there lor. Anyway, I reached school then all sweating le. Anyway, from the physics lesson, I infered what will come out for the prelim 2 exam. It's not much help though, because in summary, she was like saying study everything. So today lesson a bit wasted, but nvm at least we went through 2006 physics prelim which was quite easy. I got 88 for it, quite surprised that it was so easy la. So today I start studying and in order not to procastinate, I shall update what I would study everyday here and check again the next day to ensure that I finish my revision.

Yes, finally it's all over. My busy stuff is finally finished. Now I can officially start studying, whoo hoo. I was scared that I would not have enough time to study as I didn't study at all on tuesday and today. But never mind, tomorrow then start. I realise that in order to do well, one should set goals, hence the column over there. Of course it's unrealistic la, but that's because that's a goal. So I have to work for it now. The next few days will be a bit stress for me but I believe I can do it. 2 days wasted but er, ya.

Ok, so I decided to start a counter like Ren Xian's blog. Why I didn't put how many days to prelim because now I feel as if it's prelim le. Everyday spend like 6 hours studying, wah dam tiring. Why only to end of mid prelims is because the second half of prelims is just MCQ and E.Maths haha, so it's not pressurising for me because MCQ no need study all the details. Anyway, today and tomorrow cannot study because I'm really busy with certain stuff. However, on thursday morning, it shall be the start of my official studying spree. 10 more days!!! 10 more days to DOTA!!!!! But first, I shall put in all my effort and study hard so I don't regret haha.

Haha, I know I said I won't blog until the end of prelims, BUT, with proper time management, everything is still possible. Time is required to rest to play, and just relax, and I haven't forgotten that. So, here I am still crapping haha. Dunno why, quite a few ppl sms me and asked me what I thought will come out for the SS paper, lol, maybe it's because for ss I always study only like a few chapters, then end up still come out. Like prelim 1, some people go study 4/5 chapters and I studied only 1 chapter, then still got 22/25. Anyway, thx to Ren Xian for helping me get the past prelim papers of our school. After seeing the trend, I can safely say that Theme 4 will come out for this prelim. Then out of Theme 3,5 and 6, most probably 2 of them will come out. Theme 1 and 2 has almost no chance of coming out. All this is just what I predict. I I I, ME ME ME. So don't go study what I say only then end up scold me when it never come out ar. Let's see how well I spot qns for ss. I predict Theme 3,4 and 6. So remind me hor, after SS prelim, go check whether I predicted correctly. Wanna take bets? Haha...

Today's teacher's day celebrations was a bit fun and a bit lame lah.. Today came school just crap crap then found a very funny video of a certain teacher on a certain website, haha, then our class played it like 30 times. Then the celebration was Mr.Cool marist. Then when the top 10 was announced, it was like okay, some people jeer at the PRC, dunno why, these kind of really lame people. Maybe I do know why people jeer at them, but shall not say. Then anyway the teachers were dancing halfway and it was hilarious la, and some of the marists dance also quite funny and creative, since they chereographed it themselves, and Joseph was a bit diaoz la. Then some bands played, and some of my class people were shouting words that meant SKCURT, sry only for my class people to understand, which I felt they shouldn't have because it was like an open rivalry you know. Then I don't know what some marists did, my friend said they were throwing people around, then Mr.Kwok stormed on stage and stopped the band from playing. OMG la... I saw him and I was thinking, he won't be that you know, to go and stop them, ended up he really did. I was like wdf??? If I was one of the musicians I would feel very insulted and embarassed la. Can't he just tell them to stop throwing each other around? That was like so stupid la, then ended up he ruined the whole mood and feeling of the celebration. Then Elenda Loh won the teacher of the year award. I was like yay when I saw Ng Chor Yam go on stage, because I thought it was Mr.Lim. But never mind. Then later go back class, and made another LAN outing haha!! I love playing dota with the PRCs so fun la, the other time we played then we won 2-1, then they cursed in chinese so funny lor, but still they were very good sports and they won us once too. Haha, can't wait for the next lan outing on the friday of the first week of prelim, because the second week only MCQ papers. Lalala can't wait for prelims to be over.
